There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for The National Brain Appeal.  1 in 6 people will be affected by a neurological condition during their lifetime.  You probably know someone who is affected, even without realising it.  It can often be difficult to spot unless you know, but debilitating and causing a real struggle for the sufferer.

Neurological conditions take many forms; MS, Dementia, Strokes, Epilepsy, Parkinsons, Brain Tumours, Head Injury, Migraines, Neuro Muscular to name but a few.

The National Brain Appeal raises funds for The National Hospital for Neurosurgery and Neurology in London.

A dear friend of mine is currently under their care for a whole host of complex issues.  A young mother of 7, working full time, studying and confined to a wheelchair.

Whenever I feel like not running, I think of her (and all my other friends!) Who would love nothing more than to put on a pair of running shoes and run.

Those that know me well, know I'm not a naturally sporty person, so these runs and my mileage target will take a lot of dedication and commitment on my part.

I will update this page regularly with events I'm running and my current mileage total.
