We're raising funds to help older and younger people gain confidence in the future, whatever challenges they face today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I like to have a challenge and this year I have chosen as one of my challenges to run 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days.

Old and young people in our communities face challenges all the time and often not of their choosing. By supporting Age UK funds raised will be used to develop a new initiative to support older people in preparing for the future called Ambitions for Later Life.  The programme provides support for helping to prepare for retirement or living independently for as long as possible. From my personal experience I know how important this can be.  My mum is 90 years old and still lives independently walks to her local shops everyday and still does all her own decorating!

For Barnardo's the money raised will support On Track, a tailored support programme for long term unemployed young people to help them develop the skills they need to get into work, training and education.
