In 2013 my world seemed to turn upside down when i was recalled after my first post-50 mammogram.  Only 2 months earlier I'd learnt I was going to be a grandma for the first time,  I didn't have time to be ill! Being greedy I had it all - chemo,  surgery and radiotherapy!  4 weeks after my last chemo and 3weeks before my mastectomy I ran Race for Life,  just to stick 2 fingers  up to the Big C! I struggled round the 5K course in +40mins with friends and family supporting me.  I vowed then I would one day do a Marathon and now that day has arrived!! 

I can never raise the cost of my treatment but if I can help fund further research to try and eradicate this foul disease then that will have to do!
