I’ve been wanting to do some fundraising this year for Give a Kidney but time has been working against me plus my fitness took a little bit of a tumble this year. However, in the ten days leading up to the 1 year anniversary of my altruistic kidney donation, I’m going to be cycling 80km a day (hoping to round this up a bit to hit 1000km in 10 days) to raise some funds and awareness for Give a Kidney, a charity who raise awareness of altruistic kidney donation and support donors going through the process, and who’s aim is for nobody to have to wait for a transplant in need of a kidney. 

There are so many people in need of a kidney and not enough people donating. Altruistic kidney donation can help this - you don’t need to be related to donate. My own kidney journey has been fairly straightforward. If it’s something you think you’d be interested in doing, I highly encourage you to research more - the Give a Kidney website provides a lot of info. It’s the best, most powerful thing I have ever done and likely will ever do. 

Any donations are highly appreciated - my fitness has taken a hit this year so although I did a similar fundraiser  previously, this one is going to challenge me. Thank you :-)
