Debbie's BIG FAT bike ride

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2014 · 10 August 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In a moment of madness I was persuaded to apply for a place on the LondonSurrey 100 bike ride which is yes, you guessed it a 100 bike ride through London and Surrey. In February I was notified of my place and so I had to decide which charity to raise money for. The answer was pretty instantaneous - Meningitis Now. Why? Two reasons - their names are Max and Thomas. Two little boys who both had to battle the terrible illness that is meningitis when they were just babies. Max is now a boisterous toddler with no side effects. Thomas however was left in a world without sound - profoundly deaf at less than a year old. Throughout their ordeals, Meningitis Now were able to offer their families support and information just like they do to the thousands of people who are diagnosed each year in the UK.
Max and Thomas' battles and all that they and their families have been through will be what keeps me peddling for 100 miles. So please, dig deep and sponsor me for my day of hell after all, it will pale into insignificance compared to what Max, Thomas and so many others have been through.
