Normal, kidneys are the size of a fist. PKD kidneys can swell up to 4 times bigger and 100 times heavier. We want our PKD kidneys to be healthy again. So get your fists out and Give PKD the Bump!

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I am running my first half marathon on October 16th to raise funds and awareness of Polycystic Kidney Disease, known as PKD.

Despite an estimated 12.5 million people around the world being affected by PKD, the disease remains relatively unheard of.

With PKD, kidneys can swell to 4 times their healthy size and weigh up to 100 times more, leading to a debilitating life of fatigue, long-term pain and kidney failure.

With no cure in sight any help to raise money for vital research is greatly appreciated.

The PKD fist is a symbol that shows that we are striving for a time where everyone’s kidneys are the size of a fist

Please support PKD Charity in their campaign to 'Give PKD the Bump' and visit BumpPKD.com for more information.

lots of love
