Hey everyone! My name is Demi-Leigh and I am running the Bournemouth Half Marathon for Cancer Research UK in October 2026!

I am running this marathon in memory of my grandad Tony, who sadly passed away in 2015. To be able to run in his hometown feels an honour and full circle moment.

My uncle Barry also has had a diagnosis of cancer, so running this marathon for Cancer Research UK, will mean a lot to my family.

I also had a cancer scare myself in 2023, and the process felt scary and daunting - but I will always be grateful my results where benign.

To be able to raise money that will go towards funding research into new possible treatments, and that will help those that have ben in the same position as me and my family - will mean the world to me!

I hope you will all join me in raising awareness and raising money for Cancer Research UK!
