As some of you reading this will know, Jessica and I both live with Type 1 diabetes, which means 24/7, thinking about what we are doing, what we are eating and the affect it will have on our blood sugar levels!

Jessica has been under the care of the Paediatric Diabetes team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital since being diagnosed at age 4. 

A few years ago we did a sponsored walk and this year we have stepped it up!!

On the 15th of July Jessica, her friends Jasmine and Annabelle, plus their Mum's Lainey and Jo, our cousin Gilly Anderson and I will be running 5k at Dorney Park in Windsor to raise money for the clinic and we hope you will support us!  

The girls have been training, as have I! Those of you who know me will likely be surprised but I took up running at the end of January setting this deadline to be able to do the 5k.  Thankfully Lainey, Jo and Gilly will all be there to push me over the line!

IF you are able to support Jessica's Jewels in our efforts to raise some funds for the team at her clinic to use to help other children diagnosed with this life changing condition, we would be grateful! 

There is a growing number of children being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes every year! This genetic, insulin controlled condition is for life!
