My 18-week training programme will involve running over 400 miles - the total distance from my home, to the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre in Skegness, to London for the marathon and then back to Derby!

I am proud to run my first London Marathon on behalf of the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre, who provide 660 residential holidays to children from the county at their holiday home in Skegness - providing a respite for parents, carers and guardians and developing social and personal skills and making new friends. 

This is an opportunity to support a fantastic local charity and give the children of Derby and Derbyshire a break.
