We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

In August 2023 I will be part of a relay team attempting an ultra-triathlon from London to Paris. The record time for a six person relay team is 33hrs.05mins. Only 23 relay teams have completed the challenge.

The race starts in London at Marble Arch with an 140 km (87 mile) Run to Dover followed by a swim across the English Channel, approximately 34km (21 mile) The last leg will be a 289.7 km (180 mile) bike ride from Calais to Paris.

Once the starter gun goes the clock starts and will not stop until we cross the finish line in the Arc de Triomphe. Each team member will complete an hour in each discipline in strict repeat rotation. The swim will be completed without wetsuits.

This will be an amazing experience for us all but the reason we do these events is to raise funding for the many people who have suffered spinal injury and who are in need of support from the Aspire Charity. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Every four hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life.

Join me and my friends on this journey and spare what you can to support me in raising much needed funds.
