It’s a myth that dementia is just a consequence of old age.  Dementias are a collection of different diseases just like cancer.  Alzheimer’s Research UK funds scientists to find new treatments and preventions.

There is simply not enough funding and attention as it’s “all about old age”.  Not true.

After experiencing first hand the devastating effect of watching someone you love slowly being taken away, I don’t want others to suffer like she did.  It’s a horrible way to die.
