HR Revolution have teamed up ith NDK Consulting to form the "Dirty Oars" the winning team at the Dragon Boat Race taking place at Bewl Water on 10th September 2016. 

Ok so clearly we haven't won it yet, but that is certainly our plan in a bid to raise as much as we can for our chosen charity. See the little girl in the picture is Elise and she is my amazing neighbour. But unfortunately Elise suffers with a condition called Lissencephaly which is a rare gen-linked brain malformation and she is not alone. 

The prognosis for children with lissencephaly depends on the degree of brain malformation, but sadly many will die before the age of 10 years. And that's why we have chosen or charity, Ellenor, who are an absolute lifeline for our special girl Elise. 

Ellenors offer a different approach to care for children, in the fact that instead of them going to the hospice, the hospice goes to them, allowing the family to stay together, which is so important and makes this very precious time together the best it can be. 

Unfortunately Lissencephaly is not the only cruel disease to take babies, children and young adults from us and Ellenor specialise in giving end of life care for all of them. The are still one of only very few that offer this specialised care which is so vital to the families. The work they do is absolutely amazing and changes so many people's lives for the better, choosing this as our charity was the easiest decision to make.  Check out their website here for more on their fantastic work:
