Story
On June 22nd 2019 I was involved in a climbing accident where I fell 20ft resulting in me breaking my left femur and fracturing my pelvis. Thanks to the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who arrived and began treating me on scene. Once I was stable the then carried me 300ft down the rocky path to the awaiting helicopter to transport me to hospital. These teams do amazing jobs and I can't thank them enough for the service that they provide. They are charities that I will always hold great pride for and to be able to get the opportunity to fundraise for them by trekking up Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4,167 meters. After spending 2weeks in hospital and 6 weeks non weight bearing I have had to learn to walk and focus on building my strength up in my leg with the aim of trekking Toubkal 1year after my accident. I hope you can support me and the amazing charity teams who work so hard to help people like.
