Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
On Wednesday 21st June 2017. I will be taking part in a mammoth golf challenge in support of Macmillan at Brackenwood Golf Club. I will be playing for approximately 16 hours covering 25200 yards or 15 miles. It's for a great cause and every little bit helps toward my target.
Well back in 2014, I had a serious car accident which the roof of my car had to be cut off to get me out, I was then told I could be paralysed because part of my spine was forever crumbling with everything they tried, so with the help of some nuts, bolts and a cage that in my neck and about 5months rest and therapy I was again able to continue with my passion of Golf and Dj
So I hear u asking yourself why? Or I'm mad!!!!! But do you know what.....Macmillan do amazing work for people in need. Why the Longest Golf Challenge? Firstly because I love playing the golf regardless of score, A very close relative does triathlons (very successfully I might add) and she has inspired me to try this again. So with your support this month in Bebington, Wirral, I'm going to hit my golf ball approx 90 times and walk 6,300 yards each round and try not too loose too many and finally drag my butt to the finishing hole ( before its too dark ).
Most people have been affected by cancer in one way or another either directly or indirectly. Personally I feel the support the Macmillan provides is invaluable but they always need funds to continue their great work so I'm doing my part by taking part ....blah blah blah
