Story

This page is dedicated to the memory of my Father - Dr. Francis Dobbins who was loved by many. He was a professor of Musicology at Kings College and Goldsmiths College (University of London) for many years, and the author of many printed articles, papers and books. He studied music at New College Oxford where he recieved his PhD.

He was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 57. At first this was diagnosed as a Lymphomic Sarcoma, which he was treated for, and eventually overcame. 10 years later he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, and was recieving treatment for cancer of the kidneys weeks before he died. He eventually passed away from a number of heart attacks that came as a shock to everyone. He was a strong and resilient man than fought until the very end.

As cancer was the cause of illness and the death of many members of his family I am collecting charitable donations on his behalf to go towards the reseach of treament and care for others suffering from cancer.
