Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
A group of colleagues and relatives from BPE in Winchester, Hampshire have been inspired to fundraise for a speciall little girl called Imogen. Imogen is the neice of our colleague and became ill in 2012 at the tender age of two. She was diagnosed with a rare disease, Langerhans' Cell Histiocytosis and went through a year of chemotherapy. When she received the 'all clear' Imogen, her sister Georgia and her parents celebrated with a wonderful holiday swimming with dolphins.
Last December the condition was found to have returned and Imogen, now six, has begun another year long journey with chemotherapy. Imogen has been denied her right of a normal, care-free childhood. Sadly she is one of many poorly children.
Together we have set ourselves a challenging target and Imogen and her family have asked us to fundraise for The Piam Brown ward which is the Regional Paediatric Oncology and Haematoligy unit based on the top floor of Southampton General Hospital. They provide a very specialised service and all money raised will be spent to further support patients and their families with facilities like the play room, the school room, trips and outings, parent facilities and specialised equipment.
Please check out their website: http://www.southamptonhospitalcharity.org/index.php?id=34&article=100
Please support us by donating anything you feel comfortable with. Every little bit will help Piam Brown continue to offer families the care and attention they deserve at difficult times.
Thanks
