Story
Cancer doesn’t pause for anyone.
It doesn’t wait for the right time or step aside for daily life — it carries on in the background, often getting tougher as time goes on.
That’s why this October, I’m setting myself a challenge outside of my own training — to show my support and raise awareness for prostate cancer, a disease that has affected my family and will affect 1 in 8 men in their lifetime.
I’ll be running every single day, starting with 1km on October 1st, and each day I’ll add 0.5km more. Just like cancer can become more challenging over time, the distance will grow steadily harder, until I finish the month running 16km on the final day.
In total, that’s 263km (163 miles) in one month and more than 101km (63 miles) in the final week — every step in honour of those we’ve lost and those still fighting.
Every donation, big or small, helps fund vital research and awareness - Together, it can all make a difference.
