We are fundraising for Sheffield Hospitals Charity's Secret Garden Appeal, to help build a garden of sanctuary for patients and staff at the Northern General Hospital. Designed with the help of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals staff, the garden will be full of calming spaces, places to meet away from the wards, and opportunities for patients, staff and volunteers to get involved in activities. Every penny that you are able to give will make a huge difference to staff and patients right across our hospitals and right across our city.

The hospital lacks a space where patients, staff and volunteers can go for a peaceful break. My sister and I found it soul destroying that the only place we could take ourselves for a cry or our mum for a spin in the wheelchair was to the entrance of the hospital - A taxi rank/unofficial smoking shelter.
