This is my first time running the London marathon and am very excited (and nervous!) to give it a go.  I've run a couple of marathons in the past - but not for 20+ years and hope I've not left it too late to try another one!  I'm determined to finish - even if it means crawling into the finish:)  I am raising money for a fantastic charity and am grateful for any donations you can make.

The Dockland Settlements Trust  provides deprived and disabled children and elderly people around London access to  sport, social and educational activities.  Our own children are so fortunate to have access to great education and have so many opportunities to take part in all sorts of sport and social activities.  But not all kids are that lucky...not even in our own city.

Docklands Settlements provide sporting, social, recreational and educational activities to children who may not otherwise be able to play sport or join social groups. They also provide:  low cost play-care to help parents go back to work or remain in work;  help to people with disabilities to take part in sport; and activity centres for the elderly to help them tackle isolation or loneliness.

So please dig deep and help support this great charity and the kids and elderly here in our local community.
