Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. We love all dogs, and the people who love dogs too. We care for dogs in need through our network of 22 centres across the UK and Ireland, finding them loving new homes. A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas ©

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As a team of work mates with a shared love of the outdoors
and bourbon biscuits we were discussing over a brew how we could take on a challenge together and at the same time raise some money for charity.

Being proud Yorkshire folk we selected the famous ‘Yorkshire
Three Peaks Challenge’; a 24 mile hike (including 5,200ft / 1,585m of
ascent) taking in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

These three peaks form part of the mighty Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Aside from the distance, the challenge is to complete the circuit in under 12 hours!

We’re raising money for a local charity, Leeds Dogs Trust - one of 20
re-homing centres which does fantastic work to save 16,000 abandoned dogs every year.

The boots are laced and training underway.  Any donation that you
can spare would be greatly appreciated and help to push us forwards – one step at a time!!!
