Story
I have been a volunteer fosterer for the Weymouth & District Branch of national charity Cats Protection for five years; although it is sad that there is a need, I enjoy caring for the many abused, neglected and unwanted cats and love having the opportunity to help them – it is very rewarding work.
All the cats entering our care receive whatever veterinary treatment they need, and if it’s not been done before they come to us, they are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before leaving our care. It’s expensive but essential.
Cats Protection branches are required to fund raise to finance their work; due to the ongoing pandemic there have been few opportunities for fundraising since Spring 2020.
I undertook a sponsored Wing Walk for Cats Protection in 2018 when I turned 70; it was rather scary and a huge challenge but I was thrilled to raise over £1000 for the Weymouth & District Branch.
Summoning up what’s left of my courage I’ve decided to do it again and with your help I hope to raise even more funds than last time.
Cats Protection receives no government funding and relies on public support to continue its work.
Please sponsor me so that we can continue helping the cats; every donation makes a difference.
Thank you xx
