In November 2011 Doug's brother George was diagnosed with advanced testicular cancer. He has had chemotherapy, surgery and more chemotherapy. His treatment at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre has been exemplary, and we want to raise as much money as we can to say thank-you for all that they have done for George.

The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust has played a huge role in transforming the prognosis for testicular cancer, so that 30 years ago fewer than 10% of patients survived once their cancer had spread, whereas now over 90% are cured.
