Being a member of the SNP Friends of Palestine, I have been aware of the many difficulties and challenges faced by the Palestinian people as they live their daily lives whilst under occupation.

In 2017 Nakba Day begins a season of painful commemoration for Palestinians. On 5 June, Palestinians will mark the 50th anniversary of the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. Then on 14 June, Palestinians in Gaza mark 10 years under Israel’s stifling blockade and closure, a decade punctuated by three devastating military offensives.

In every healthcare system it is essential that care is effective and accessible to the population it serves. But for Palestinians living under occupation or as refugees, this access is often denied by the circumstances in which they live, and the restrictions on their underlying civil and political rights.

Please help in any small way you can, all donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards making a difference to the people of Palestine as they seek to exist under an oppressive Apartheid regime.
