We believe that no life should be half lived. 1 in 5 people in Scotland are struggling with a chest, heart or stroke condition. We won't live with that. Join us to support people to live life to the full. #NoLifeHalfLived

Story

The Dunbar Tablers & Friends are delighted to take part in the Dunbar Dip...

Look out for:

Graham Cairns, Ross McKenzie, Glen Young, David Dunbar, Richard McIntyre, Iain Jamieson, and Dougie Denholm.

Gerard McPhillips will be looking after us all as part of the great crew of volunteers from the Dunbar Lifeboat, supervising all of the Loony Dookers.

What is the Dunbar Dip?

The Dunbar Dip is the chance to have a quick dip in the sea on New Year’s Day to help clear away the cobwebs and help a great cause at the same time. The Dip this year is organised in honour of local resident Tom Waugh who reintroduced the Dip in 2011. The Dip is also intended to be a fundraising event and we encourage everyone who takes part to either make a donation to or raise sponsorship for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, Tom Waugh’s chosen charity.

Where will the Dunbar Dip take place?

The Dunbar Dip takes place at 1pm on Tuesday 1 January on the East Beach off Lamer Street, Dunbar. Please arrive at the beach car park from about 12.30pm where you will be met by the organisers. At 12.45pm we will have a short ceremony in honour of Tom Waugh to inaugurate the memorial bench in his name and welcome you to join us.
