On the 4th of September 2007 Royal Manchester Children's Hospital saved my life. I had emergency surgery to remove a brain tumour, the size of a tennis ball, from my head! And for that, I will forever be grateful! This year, to mark the 10th anniversary I am taking on the challenge of raising £10,000 over the next 10 months by completing 28 challenges, one for every day I spent receiving amazing care!
The challenge is #DuncansDecade
The first of which is the #WilmslowHalfMarathon tomorrow morning! Followed by a marathon, a 240ft abseil and obviously the #Manchester10K.
I'm still in need of challenges though, and if you have anything you want to add to my list then fire away! The difference with this is I want to be challenged, I want to do things I've never done before... in order to earn £10,000!
You can submit challenges by commenting on here, on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, text me, write me a letter, carrier pigeon, I don't care, just get them in!!
Any donations, big or small, are hugely appreciated, as well as support and just sharing what I'm trying to do!
To put it into context, it is estimated that my care and treatment cost somewhere in he region of £15,000 and £20,000 and I am determined to put back what I took out, and more! So they can continue their life changing work!
Stay tuned over the next 10 months!
