My nephew, Zac, was diagnosed with Accute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the age of 5 in June 2013 and underwent several courses of chemotherapy treatment at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Thankfully, in January 2014, Zac, was declared as being in remission and has now moved on to a three year program of lower dose maintenance therapy. Throughout the diagnosis and subsequent treatment, Zac's family have had extensive and invaluable support from CLIC Sargent, who provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer to get the most out of life.
