On the 31st of January 2014, father and son Dylan Tyrrell (age 30) and Graham Tyrrell (63) will be cycling from Talybont in Gwynedd, to the base of Cader Idris. This is a distance of 16 miles approx.

They will then walk up Cader Idris, taking their bikes and 40kg of kit with them.

After spending a night in the summit's hut, they will then make the return walk down Cader Idris, before cycling back to Talybont.

They have chosen the RNLI as they support the valuable service provided by this charity. Their brother/son is also part of the RNLI Barmouth crew.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
