Ellie and Charlotte's fund

QUIZ 4 U · 5 March 2021
Hello, we Charlotte and Ellie together would like to raise awareness and money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
When Ellie was 5 years old she was brought into hospital as she had an accident with her nose. While she was waiting in the A&E, a girl about 13 years old walked into the room and sat down with her mother. When Ellie looked at her she noticed that the girl's face was very pale and tired. She also noticed that the girl had a hat and that underneath the hat there was clearly no hair. Ellie asked her mum why the girl looked so tired and did not have any hair. That was when she learned for the first time what cancer was and that children could get it too. She could not believe that children like her or slightly older could get so ill. That day stayed with her.
Now we are 12 and we have been able to research and understand what it means to live with cancer for a teenager. While we are able to go to school, laugh with friends, play our sports and be probably too often careless, children our age with cancer cannot. Things that for us are granted become a dream and a hope for them; something they might no longer or never again be able to enjoy.
So we would love to help and have decided to raise money and awareness for teenage cancer trust by completing the distance of 600km in two weeks, running, walking and cycling. Our target is to raise £2,000 pounds. We would be the most grateful if you could help us achieve our goal! This is just the beginning.
We started on Monday 1st March. Each day we will post updates and pictures to show what we have done and on the 14th march we will add up our scores and see if we managed to get 600km. So far have done 108.5 kilometres! hopefully we will be able to reach 600km.
Thank you !
Ellie and Charlotte
