The Woonona Warriors and The Power Rangers are taking part in the Major Series: North on the 16th of March and we're raising funds for Barnsley Hospital Charity. http://www.barnsleyhospitalcharity.co.uk/

The Teams - We’ve been training hard, some of us for the first time in years (or first time EVER!), and now we’re looking forward to the challenge of The Majors!

We’re split in to two teams of 10 and we’ll work together to complete the challenge, but we can’t resist a little competition on and off the course! We will compete not only on time but also on how much sponsorship money we can raise, so be sure to add the name of the team you’re supporting when you make your donation ;)

The Woonona Warriors - Laura Brown, Phil Brown, Natalie Houlton, Chris Houlton, Lyndsey Woodger, Deborah Netherwood, Heidi Tantrum, Hayley Roach, Carla Galloway, Susie Dove.

The Power Rangers - Sarah Butler, Paul Butler, Katie Fieldsend, Atheal Alwash, Craig Alwash, Rachel Schofield, Sally Crouch, Nicola Guest, Helen Sparks, Paul Dever.

Why are we supporting Barnsley Hospital Charity? - It's a charity Laura, one of our team members, holds close to her heart...

Three years ago I gave birth to the most beautiful little girl and she’s changed my life forever!

After a long labour and an emergency c section Freya came into the world safe and sound on the 3 of January 2011, she was perfect. We spent our first day in Barnsley District General Hospital being visited by friends and family, everyone was so excited to meet our new baby girl. As everyone went home, I settled down to get some rest and enjoy some Mummy and baby time. That evening was difficult and I remember thinking at the time I was doing something wrong, as many first time Mums do, as Freya refused to settle. Thank the lord for the amazing Healthcare Assistant that noticed my baby girl’s breathing rate was raised; Freya was rushed to the special care baby unit for treatment.

Freya was diagnosed with a really bad respiratory infection and had almost a week’s stay on the unit, being cared for by the wonderful staff that not only treated her but took care of us too. They reassured us, comforted us and during what was an absolutely horrendous time, enabled us to bond with and learn how to look after our newborn baby girl.

Without a doubt my hubby (Phil) & I couldn't have wished for better care for Freya, couple this with the support we received & we will never be able to offer enough thanks to them!

So dig deep and support us in our quest to conquer The Majors and raise money for this wonderful charity.

Much Love

Laura & the rest of The Woonona Warriors & The Power Rangers
