Story
Edinburgh Global Partnerships is an entirely student-led charity based at the University of Edinburgh. For the last 27 years the charity has provided community-led sustainable development programs both within Edinburgh and across the globe.
Many of you will be aware of my involvement with Edinburgh Global Partnerships over the past year, where my team and I raised a phenomenal £10,000 for our project in Peru.
I am thrilled to be given the honor of Publicity and Fundraising Manager for Edinburgh Global Partnerships 2016/2017 committee through the selection of my peers, allowing me to further my involvement within the charity.
Each year the charity raises £50,000-£60,000 for various projects, however none of this goes to the charity itself. There are a number of costs involved in running the charity to ensure our volunteers have the best possible experience with us and that we can continue doing the work we do. It is a charity that I feel very passionate about and I am therefore participating in "The Big Leap" with other committee members on September 18th.
Please give what you can for this deserving charity so we can continue to be the best of our kind.
