Thank you for your amazing support.
We are doing this challenge in aid of our colleague Sam Blackburn. His story is found below.
The challenge will take place at Bramley Golf Club on the 20th June. we will be undertaking 72 holes in 1 day. Tee off is at 4.30AM and will finish at around 9PM.
Sam Blackburn was born with Chronic Renal Failure.
at an early age he had a full and partial nephrectomy. At the age of 21 he started Peritoneal Dialysis at the Northern General Hospital where he has his treatment.. Sam was on dialysis until April 2007 when he received a Kidney Transplant. The Kidney has been successful for over 9 years now. Unfortunately in October he was told that the Kidney was failing and that he would have to go back on Dialysis and have a new Transplant. Sam has had his dialysis operations on the 28th January which, so far, has been successful and has since started back at work again. Sam is currently back on the transplant list and his little
brother is being tested to be able to donate a new Kidney.
Kidney Research UK aids in treatment and research for patients like Sam.
