Both of my daughters were born in East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Both had to be readmitted for various reasons shortly after birth, but the second one went to the Special Care Birthing Unit (SCBU). We were lucky that it was just a precaution, but there were many parents in there who had spent weeks with their new children worrying and panicking.

I'm hoping to raise a bit of money to help the staff and parents of this essential room trying to make a worrying and upsetting time a tiny bit easier for them. The hospital is expanding the unit to help more parents in the area and to buy more home comforts to help parents stay with their children.
