This year we are raising money for our Salaam project, supporting New Scots (refugees and asylum seekers) in Edinburgh. 

Salaam started in 2020. At this time we were supporting mainly Syrian refugees. With the arrival of Afghans to the city in 2021 we expanded our team and then grew our support work again in 2022, the same year that many Ukrainians arrived in Edinburgh.

Our Salaam team provide support in a variety of ways: through one-to-one befriending, Peaced Together crafts courses, English conversation groups, and by organising an annual Christmas hamper project. We also provide training to equip churches to offer a warm welcome.
