Story
Friendship Works provide mentoring support to young people who face obstacles to having a carefree childhood. They might be carers for an ill parent, or have learning or behavioural difficulties. Friendship Works gives the mentoring support they need to access vital opportunities and build friendships in order to get more out of childhood, explore their potential, see what life has to offer and lead a fulfilling adult life.
We both feel Friendship Works is a great charity that really does deserve support and recognition for the great things they do for young people.
Edd says: As a kid, I used to be able to go off and ride my bike whenever I wanted to. I was free from any serious responsibility or obstacles. There are many children in London that don't have that freedom. They might be a young carer or socially isolated, with no time or means to just be kids. I'm riding for Friendship Works because all children should have the chance to just be kids.
Ali says: As a teacher, I've seen the effect it has on children when they lack a support network at home. I'm riding for Friendship Works because these children deserve our help to overcome these obstacles, and to build the social skills needed for a successful future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any sponsorship you are willing to give.
