Story
In his first organised event in aid of Berwick Cancer cars, our new town Sheriff, Eddie Docherty Mullins, is arranging his very popular walk from Holy Island to Spittal in fond memory of Margie Nicholl.
Eddie has been a fantastic supporter of our Cars for many years and we were delighted when he adopted us as his charity when he was made Sheriff of Berwick-upon-Tweed Sheriff in May 2022.
Anyone wishing to join Eddie will be very welcome, meeting at the main car park on Holy Island at 9.30 a.m.
This will be a one way walk from Holy Island main car park to Spittal Prom and is approx. 14 miles, and will include a refreshment stop at the Goswick Golf Course. Allow about 6 hours at a 'steady Eddie pace'.
Note : The Holy Island causeway safe crossing times for Sunday 3rd July 2022 will be 9.05 a.m. to 4.35 p.m.
All proceeds from Eddie’s fundraising event will go to helping our Cars, for which we are truly grateful.
