Eddie's Clyde Stride · 15 July 2017

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the leading charity dedicated to fighting primary bone cancer. Our mission is to save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer through research, information, awareness and support.

Story

In August 2008, I was diagnosed with bone cancer. The tumour was in my right shoulder. Between then and the end of October 2008 I underwent chemotherapy and then radical surgery to remove my shoulder blade and save my arm.

In the last few years I was swimming, cycling, playing music and then decided I had to test myself  that test is Eddie's Clyde Stride which is the 40 mile ultra marathon from Partick to New Lanark commencing Friday 14th July finishing Saturday 15th July 2017 which I will be walking with my big mate John Docherty. Special dispensation has been granted by the race organiser to allow John and I to undertake this challenge.

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is dedicated to saving lives and improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Despite being a very small charity we are the leading funders of research into this cruel disease - with more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. In 2017 as part of 'The Biggest Fight Against Bone Cancer - Ever!' we are aiming to raise £1.1million to fuel more research, more information, more awareness, more support and ultimately save more lives! Please support our fight today.

Why not come along and cheer us on at the finish line.
