We are the charity of Leeds Teaching Hospitals. We support NHS staff to deliver the best care for over a million patients and their families each year. Donations fund life-saving equipment, treatments, research and home comforts. Whatever will make the biggest impact to the people who need it most.

Story

Eimile mummy and Aunty sheena are raising funds for Leeds children's team to attend the transplant games in north lanarkshire on 27th July - 30th July 2017 (team fund number5m97) . The team consists of children who have had liver and kidney transplants at Leeds children's hospital.

Eimile will take part in the 3k donor run as part of the British transplant games the donor run helps raise awareness and the benefits of organ donation.

Mummy and Aunty sheena will also take part in the donor run and if we reach the target of 500 mummy will wear a red tutu on the donor run.

More than 10,000 people in the uk currently need a transplant and sadly 3 people die every day waiting for a transplant.

The British transplant games is a yearly event run by the transplant sport uk . It allows all transplant children and their siblings to take part in a variety of sports including cycling canoeing sailing and tennis , for younger children events including running jumping obstacle courses ect.

The event is also open to children of adults who have had transplants so making it a sociable event where all children can forget the pressures of living in what can be a difficult situation and play sport where they may have fiound it difficult before.
It also gives parents the chance to have time to discuss issues with others in the same situation .

The team Moro is to have a good time and celebrate the gift of life our children have been given. It's a great opportunity to meet family's where children affected by organ donation can socialise and see the benefits of an active life

Mummy will also be doing a bike ride round Strathclyde park on Sunday 23 April 2017

So please dig deep and donate your pennies to this wonderful and worthwhile cause every donation big and small all adds up and gets us to our target please help us do this thanks eimile and mummy
