This May I am challenging myself to complete Great Bristol 10K run in support of Cheltenham Animal Shelter.
This charity is very close to my heart because, as a dedicated cat owner/lover, I believe that every animal needs and deserves a loving and caring home. Based in the heart of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham Animal Shelter rescues and re-homes unwanted and abandoned stray cats, dogs and small animals. Each year they care for around 1000 animals at a cost of £500,000 without the help of any Government funding. Little furry friends, who have suffered enough already, desperately need our help and I hope that you will all support me in this great cause!
The run is taking place in one of my favourite cities in the UK, Bristol, just minutes away from a veterinary practice, where my very own kitty, Musya was receiving treatment for her rare condition of feline chylothorax. I will be completing this run in her memory, as she was always a fighter, never a sufferer!
