Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Our JustGiving page.

The Members of Ballymena Northern Ireland Hospice Support Group are virtually walking together in memory of our dear friend and fellow volunteer Maureen Hunter raising funds for Northern Ireland Hospice.

Maureen was a long serving member of the Support Group and her willing, generous spirit and wonderful smile made her a joy to volunteer with.  We are celebrating a “Life well Lived” and she is and will always be missed.

Maureen fought a courageous battle against her illness for two years.

Not only did she work tirelessly for Northern Ireland Hospice but she volunteered in her own community of Broughshane, The Ballymena Lions Club and her Church Choir. Maureen was a very talented flower arranger and she was a member of the Ballymena Floral Art Association and Broughshane Woman’s  Institute.

We, together with her family, friends and members of the organisations she was associated with will walk 5k to raise funds for Northern Ireland Hospice, a cause she held close to her heart.
