Story

On the 7th of November 2017 I lost my 20-year-old sister Eleanor Stunt to Cancer.

The cancer Eleanor had was a extremely rare form called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Sarcomas develop from cells that maintain structure or cushion other organs in our bodies, including bone, cartilage, muscle, fat, and tendon. They can develop anywhere in the body, including the head and neck, or inside the chest and abdominal cavities. There are over 50 different types of sarcoma.
While some sarcomas can be easily cured with surgery, others are very aggressive and can spread to distant organs. Which is what happened to Els.

After being diagnosed in October of 2015 Els fought it and was given the all clear in June 2016. As her condition started to improve we agreed to walk the coastal path of the Isle of Wight, which was a frequent holiday destination for our family with cherished memories.

However, before we had the chance to set out on our adventure Els' cancer came back with vengeance in December 2016 and eventually took her life on the 7th of November.

In her memory and to raise awareness of Sarcoma a couple of my friends George, Charles, Alex and Thorsten and i are going to walk the coastal path around the Isle of Wight.

We are planning to walk the 65-mile path in 4 days from Monday the 20th-23rd of August.
