Eliza Poppy Bennett was born on 3rd July 2013. She was the calmest, happiest baby that anyone who was lucky enough to know her had ever met. She smiled all day, every day. Everyone loved her.

On 30th January 2014, Eliza didn't wake up and our worlds fell apart. Initially, it was thought to be a cot death. We now know that she had been born with a rare heart condition, mitochondrial cardiomyopathy. The Children's Heart Federation helps children with heart conditions and their families.

This page is my small memorial to a little girl who touched so many lives. When I think of Eliza, I see her smiling.

I feel privileged that she came into my life. The loss will hurt for ever but I'll always remember the smiles.
