I am fundraising for the UN Refugee Agency in general because, while I want to help Ukrainian refugees, I also want the UN to have funds available to help refugees elsewhere in the world, including many countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Central America.

I considered doing another sponsored walk, but felt that it was time for a different challenge, mental rather than physical this time. So, in the time from May to December 2022, I am working my way through as many books in German as I can, armed only with a twenty-five-year-old GCSE in German, and a battered dictionary.
