Story
We’re joining the Macmillan Mighty Hike and retracing part of our Silver Duke of Edinburgh along the Seven Sisters to raise money for this fantastic charity.
Hello!
Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page. On the 12th June Jemima and Ella are hiking 13 miles across the South Downs, from Alfriston to Eastbourne, much of the route we covered when doing our Silver Duke of Edinburgh, 14 years ago. This cause has a personal connection for us both. Jemima’s mother is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Ella sadly lost her mother to cancer in 2016. Our hike will be a fantastic way to raise money for a charity that does so much to provide vital care and support for those affected by cancer so that no one has to face cancer alone. It’ll also be a nice celebration of our friendship which has helped us through.
If we remember correctly, our original expedition was mainly cold, wet and windy and we walked most of the Seven Sisters in a thick sea fog, so we’re hoping for some glorious British summer weather so we can enjoy some spectacular views as we walk.
