Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Its mental health awareness week, which is just as important as physical illnesses. The most effective coping mechanism I have found for anxiety is physical exercise. I set myself a goal of taking part in a Triathlon and so I have decided to raise money for mental health, even if it's a small amount. Every little helps.
If you struggle with anxiety, set yourself a goal and focus on achieving it. It will help your mind relax. This could be anything from a running event to going walking once a week. Not every session will go as planned. You just have to remember, it's just a bad moment not a bad day and try again.
You never know what is going on behind someone's smile. You might not be able to physically see someone's illness, but there are so many people battling a mental illnesses that you cant see. If someone seems different or becomes distant, check up on them and make sure they are okay. You never know what they might be going through. A friend I went to university with passed away this year due to mental health. I would like to do what I can to help prevent this happening to others.
