I became aware of Young Lives Vs Cancer (formally Clic Sergeant) through my friend and colleague, Kyle Richards. Kyle ran the London Marathon in 2022 following battling cancer twice himself. 

Kyle and his story has really inspired me to do something out of my comfort zone to raise money for a great cause, so when the opportunity arose to run the Marathon for Young Lives Vs Cancer, I knew this was something I had to do! 

Young Lives Vs Cancer helps children,  young people and their families with personalised emotional and financial support, personal care, bereavement support and free housing for families whilst receiving  treatment. in the last year, Young Lives Vs Cancer have assisted 6,100 young cancer patients, given £342,643 in Financial Hardship Grants and £290,00 in Winter Emergency Grants. The work they do is incredible, and I feel very lucky to be given the opportunity to raise money and run the London Marathon representing Young Lives Vs Cancer.

Time to hang up the basketball boots, get myself a new pair of running trainers and hit the road!
