At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.

Story
Our darling daughter Ellie was diagnosed with a very rare brain
tumour, just 40 parents in the UK each year are given the devastating news that
their child has a DIPG (Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) brain tumour.
Currently the condition has no cure but research & trials are being carried
out globally to try beat it & find treatment.
When Ellie was first diagnosed at November 2014 we were supported by Clic, as soon as we arrived at Bristol Childrens' Hospital, a Clic nurse appeared & handed us keys to a Clic funded house, a house which became our home for 6 weeks while Ellie had radio therepy, we have wonderful memories of our time at the Clic house & the brave families we met, we have continued to have support from the Clic Nursing team who are exceptional in every way and help to this day with the hurdles we face.
Ellie
passed away peacefully on 4th April 2015 surrounded by her family at Little
Harbour & under the care of an incredible team of people who we are forever
thankful to. The Clic Sargent team are have exceptional experience and are on the front line of supporting kids with cancer and their families. Please
give generously.
