Story

St Catherine’s Hospice has been awarded a Golden Bond Charity place for the London Marathon 2017 via Virgin Money Giving. In July 2016, I was informed that I was the lucky winner of the hospice’s draw and the one who would tackle this challenge and represent the Hospice on the 23rd April 2017 in the London Marathon. I am currently in training for the run and in the meantime, I am organising a fundraising charity night for family, friends and anybody who would like to join us in raising money for the wonderful place which St Catherine’s is!

The Lostock Hall hospice supports people and their families who are facing life-shortening illnesses such as Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, MS and Heart Failure to experience the best possible quality of life, to have comfort and dignity in death, to support families during bereavement and to create positive opportunities for remembrance.

It costs over £5,000,000 every single year to provide its services and £3.7m of this has to be raised through charity and fundraising efforts. So anything we can do as a community to help the charity continue its valuable work is vital.

Please get in touch if you are able to support  in any way possible!!

I'm sure you will agree - we would be lost without St Catherine's. Please, please dig deep - every £ really does count!

With gratitude & thanks,
