Ely is 13 years old, he is a loving, charismatic boy who loves to read, bike, rollerblade and of course play video games. He was born extremely premature, at 5 months gestation, weighing at 1.15lbs at birth. Ely has come a long way and is the definition of strength. He has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy earlier this year. He would greatly benefit from the help of a seizure alert service dog. 

Little Angels' staff trains dogs to assist their recipients with Mobility Tasks, Seizure & Diabetic Alert, Hearing Loss, Autism, PTSD, Panic Attacks as well as many other needs. Most of the dogs that are placed are puppies that have come from their own breeding program and are raised from birth with the specific goal of being an Assistance Dog. Each dog's training is personalized to help their individual handlers needs. The cost of a service dog ($38,000) includes medical care, supplies, food, and the use of licensed dog trainers. Little Angels services dogs depends greatly on the generosity of donors to be able to reach the funds required to train and place these fur-ever companions. 

A seizure-alert service dog would be life-changing for Ely because it would help him gain his independence back. The assistance of this companion would benefit Ely in other ways such as alerting of an oncoming seizure, reminding him to take his daily medication, along with deep-pressure therapy.
