We are a team of five colleagues within WSP, coming together to raise funds for emergency aid across Türkiye (Turkey). The foundation we have chosen has direct links and contact with aid distributors on the ground, and work in collaboration with many emergency providers. We have chosen The Mozaik Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1174968, Charity address: 239- 241 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5QU; https://turkeymozaik.org.uk/) for this reason, so funds can be shared directly to where it is needed, and no aid goes to waste. 

Through this fundraiser, we are hoping to gain as much exposure to meet our initial goal, so an additional contribution can be matched by our firm. We have teamed up in efforts to maximise our reach, and hopefully support as many families as possible in the towns impacted, given the extent of the earthquakes. 

A first major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 hit Gaziantep/Kahramanmaras provinces at 04:17 am (01:17 GMT) on 6 February 2023, and affected at least 10 provinces in southern Turkey. The earthquake was followed by thousands of aftershocks and another earthquake with the highest being of magnitude 7.5 on the same day. Reaching out to The Mozaik Foundation, we thought it best to start a fundraiser to support their collaborations with civil society organisations working on the ground to provide immediate relief and medium to long term recovery to survivors of the earthquake. 

We are thankful for all efforts and support towards this cause. We are just trying to play our part and do as much as possible,
