Emily Johnson is raising money for Sarcoma UK

Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma.
In March 2017, Sarcoma claimed the life of our much loved mum Karen, who was only 55 years old. It is a rare and aggressive cancer, and she had just two weeks between diagnosis and passing away.
Mum was a Personal Trainer, and loved inspiring others - only last November she cycled across Vietnam and Cambodia to raise money for Women V Cancer. At the time she described herself as "one of the lucky ones", raising money for other women she knew who had been affected by cancer. Her continued drive to challenge herself in all that she did, and ultimately the bravery she showed in the face of her prognosis, have inspired me to run the London marathon 2018 for Sarcoma UK in her memory. Although the thought of my first marathon is daunting, knowing I am running in her memory, and to raise funds for something so personal to my family and I, will help get me across the finish line.
Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. We can help change this. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.
